Chapter 26. Telling us about a mistake

Part 4. When something goes wrong.

The records are old, the handwriting is hard, and machines that read it make mistakes. If you know a sentence is wrong, the project wants to hear it.

From the record panel. Every record panel has a button, That's wrong. It opens a page that shows the sentence and asks "In one sentence, what is wrong?" Type your answer and touch Send it for review. The site answers "Thank you. Your correction is waiting for a person to review it." A correction changes nothing until a person has checked it. If corrections cannot be sent yet, the site says so and keeps your sentence in the box.

By email. Send corrections, additions and questions to drdavesullivan@gmail.com. The same address is on the About page, "Who is behind Your Land History." Email suits anything longer than one sentence, and anything the report does not mention at all.

What to say. What is wrong, and how you know: a deed, a family paper, a gravestone, a visit to the land. The page already shows the sentence you are correcting.
